Dr. David Samadi: Fighting A Good Fight

David Samadi was born and raised in Iran but left at the age of 15 after the Iranian Revolution. In an aim to quench his thirst for education, Dr. Samadi, went to Belgium then later to London and finally to the United States where he completed his high school studies.

He later joined Stony Brook University to pursue a degree in Biochemistry on scholarship. Samadi completed his postgraduate training in urology and proctology at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine respectively. In 2001, he completed a fellowship in proctology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center after which he began his next mission, a robotic radical prostatectomy fellowship at Henri Mondor Hospital Creteil located in France.

He has since dedicated his career life to urology and cancer treatment. He specialized on bladder, prostate, and kidney cancer. He first practiced medicine at Columbian Presbyterian Hospital. In 2007, he decided to channel his efforts elsewhere, and he joined the faculty of MT. Sinai School of Medicine where his efforts were recognized. He became entitled with Vice-Chairing the Department of Urology and the chief of Robotics and Minimally Invasive Surgery. Dr.Samadi’s rise didn’t come to a halt, as he was appointed Professor Of Urology at Hofstra North Shore rendering his as the highest paid doctor in New York in 2012. Over the years he has helped a large number of cancer patients by sorting out unique and effective ways of treating cancer. He is well renowned for finding ways to treat cancer by eliminating the threat during its earliest stages without the use of invasive methods.

Dr. Samadi came up with SMART surgical technique specifically meant for prostate cancer surgery. With his in-depth research, he has successfully performed over 7000 surgeries. He believes in working on a small number of patients rather than what most doctors do. That way, he can make more articulate decisions and research findings.

In a bid to educate more people on cancer, Dr. Samadi took the stage in the media where he was a host of “Sunday Housecall” on Fox News Channel from 2011 to 2016. In the latest news, he announced that the show “Sunday Housecall with Dr. David Samadi” would air live on Sundays at 12.30 pm ET. The broadcast will also be available on Twitter, and YouTube live, Facebook or at DrSamadiTV.com. The show will feature specialists from the health and medical sector to hold essential discussions that will educate the general public on health issues. Health topics expected to be discussed range from sexual health, food, diet, and exercise. To involve the audience, the live show will have a live call and email platform where viewers can send their questions and have them answered by the guests.
